ARKAH was never meant to be a hotel. It began in 2020 as a shared dream between a family who loved the wild heart of the Yucatán — and grew, slowly, into a place where staying and healing live side by side.
In 2020, with the world slowing down, our family returned to the land we loved. We restored a single home in the canopy — not to rent it out, but to live differently: closer to nature, closer to each other.
Guests came, and they felt it too. What was personal slowly became a place to share.
Over the years we grew — carefully, intentionally — to a collection of ten apartments nestled into the trees. We never wanted scale for its own sake. Every home is still cleaned, prepared, and welcomed by people who know it by name.
No front desk. No corridors. Just kitchens to cook in and terraces to disappear on.
As ARKAH grew, so did its purpose. We built a yoga shala, a temazcal, a cenote-style pool — spaces for ceremony, stillness, and reconnection.
Today ARKAH is both a place to rest and a place to return to yourself — a vacation rental and a wellness destination in one.
We build within the jungle, never over it. The land came first, and it always leads.
Practice woven into staying — yoga, ceremony, and rest treated as part of the experience.
